KODOMO LION

On 15th July 2010, a team of staffs from Kodomo Lion came to our kindergarten to give information about healthy teeth.

They explained to the children about how important to brush our teeth at least twice a day. The children seemed happy and absorbed the information very well. We were sure, because at the end of questionnaire sessions there were a lot of enthusiast volunteers want to answer the questions.

Story board been used to explain the importance of taking care your teeth to the children.

Ooooo….that is the right way we should brush our teeth. Now we know, we are not supposed to eat our toothpaste.

Children, please listen very carefully, after this there will be a questionnaire session, who can answer correctly will get present.

All the keen faces ready to answer the questions.

The Kodomo Lion gave us their mascot and not to forget also their signature product, a set of toothbrush and toothpaste for each of the children.

SPORTS DAY REHEARSAL OUTING

This year we teachers at Q-dees Pulai Utama felt ready to organised our first Annual Sportsday because we had more students. Meanings more games can be arranged.

After weeks of planning we decided to hold our sports day at Hutan Bandar Mutiara Rini on 17th of July. So before that we have to make sure the children are in their best forms and ready for D-Day.

The boys practiced for their gym performance. While the girls dancing their heart for their pom pom dance performance.

March, march,march!!!!

Yeah…arriving at the destination…..our rehearsal place just nearby our kindy!

Fuhhh…luckily the children were well behaved and listened to instructions. Its our first time to bring the children out of the kindy and plus by walking around the neighbourhood area.

However, this is common practice or routine for Overseas kindergarten to bring their children out walking around the neighbourhood. I think it is a good practice at least the children will be familiarised and know how to navigate themselves if someday they were lost.

We had achieved the objectives of the day. The children already had an idea on how they should react on the real sports day.

BIRTHDAYS FOR MAC,APRIL &MAY CHILDREN

Birthday Cake

Mango flavour from SDS Bakery- took the principal almost 45mins to decide on the flavour.
Last time we bought a chocolate cake from Secret Recipe,the kids didnt appreciate it. They didnt like the rich chocolate flavour and maybe because the cake melted so fast the taste already different. We wasted almost 1/4 of the cake.

We have really few girls in our school this year...hopefully for 2011 the numbers will be balance for boys and girls. Really hard for teachers to arrange the positions for annual concert performance.

DUMEX MAMILGOLD VISIT

THURSDAY 6th of May 2010

Students enjoyed a visit from Hana (Dumex Mamil Gold) representative. The objective of this visit is to encourage student to at least consume milk for two times a day. There were a brief why milk is good for children and a pretend play of good and bad bacterias. The briefing is a very good as it is in the form of storytelling.

One thing for sure they enjoyed the story of good and bad bacterias but not too sure whether they grab the essence of the story........hmmmm at the end of the presentation they really keen on drinking the milk ( made and distributed by Hana herself).

So geram to see them ,,,,because on every Monday we will give them milk to eat with coco crunch, 2/3 will refused to take the milk. Furthermore the milk is from the same brand.

Ah Kang (scratching face) : Hmm I wonder what is this gathering....for sure not a birthday celebrations because there is no cake.

Ohh,,,,Dumex MamilGold!! What is that??

I'm not going to lie. I dont like drinking milk. Maybe that's what Clement mumbling inside while the rest of his friends raise up their hands.

CHARITY DRIVE PERFORMANCE

During Last Mac School Holiday, we were invited to perform at Sutera Mall, Carrefour, for Johor Syndrom Down Association. At first we,teachers were thinking to reject the offer because we thought we wont have enough time to train the students (4 days).....but my..oh..my they surpassed our expectation. They were really keen to do the best ,,,,,hmmm maybe one of the reason is because the song is the theme song of Madagascar"I like to move it".

We started our performance with dialogues of how human should stop hunting endangered species such as leopards and tigers. Aiesya Fatema (the fairy), Wei Xiang and Darshimi (the panthers) and Wen Kai (the Leopard).

Fairy : Why are you all crying?

Panther (Wei Xiang) : I'm Lost

Leopard : I dont know where is my family

Panther (Darshimi) : People hunt us for our fur, we are very scared now

Fairy : Hmm, if only people knew why they should not kill animals!!!

FRIENDSHIP DAY AND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

It was held on Friday the 26th of February 2010. Everyone had a really good time.Children were asked to wear their traditional costumes so that they can share their culture with each other.We hope,they will understand that we Malaysian should live in harmony as one nation despite of our culture diversities. Go 1 Malaysia spirits!!!!!
